DIAC displays are an emerging display technology invented by Robert G. Marcotte. A DIAC display is a flat screen display technology. They are called "DIAC" displays because the technology uses an electronic device called a DIAC to control light emission. We are building the worlds first display that uses a DIAC to control display pixels. Our mission is to replace plasma and active matrix TFT technologies with DIAC displays.
One of the key benefits of DIAC display technology is its scalability. A DIAC Display is an AC coupled display technology. The importance of being AC coupled is that each illumination cell is current limited and power controlled. Display loading is inherently, and uniformly, controlled at the pixel level. Consequently, a DIAC display can be used in micro-display devices, cell phones, computer monitors, TVs, interactive white boards, signage and billboard displays.
Marcotte Enterprises, Inc. has created this site to provide a publication channel for this emerging technology. We are seeking parties interested in joint development projects and licensing this technology.
